Basketball Program
The Under Pressure Basketball Academy (UPBA) offers specialized coaching and personalized strength training in a state-of-the-art facility where athletes can hone their skills while elevating their basketball IQ. Our dynamic Academic Program with 24/7 tutoring allows students to complete their coursework efficiently at their true grade level. With time to train before, between, and after classes, our athletes gain a serious competitive advantage over students enrolled in more traditional programs.
We are affiliated with M.I.A Hoops, a high-level traveling basketball program with a great track record for college recruitment. With worldwide prep, college, and professional connections, our athletes benefit from heightened exposure and recruitment opportunities. We have connections with all college divisions, including NCAA D1, NCAA D2, NCAA D3, NJCAA (JUCO, IJCAA ), NCCAA, NAIA, USCA, and PREP. Our athletes are exposed to college coaches, college showcases, and recruiting services to improve their chances of obtaining a basketball scholarship. UPBA student-athletes are also guaranteed placement on the M.I.A. Hoops team during the off-season, where they will travel to compete in live period tournaments for maximum exposure. During the season, our athletes are able to play for the high school of their choice, public or private.

Highly Specialized Coaching
UPBA Coaches are former collegiate and professional basketball players. Each coach specializes in a specific skill or position to cater to the individual needs of our student-athletes.

Basketball Skills Training
UPBA helps student-athletes assess their strengths and weakness to dominate their position. We focus on shooting form, consistency, dribbling, rebounding, passing, defense & agility, footwork, and injury prevention.

Basketball IQ Development
Detailed film study sessions on the “flow” of the game from a team standpoint, offensive & defensive schemes, philosophies, and coaching styles. Student footage is critiqued to improve on-court decision-making.

Strength & Conditioning
Our well-rounded strength and conditioning program includes customized nutrition plans, jump/verticle training, plyometrics, weight lifting, yoga, and ice bathing.
